PASC Membership

Membership in the Senior Center is open to anyone 55 and over. Annual dues are $16 a year for City residents and $25 for all others.

Associate Membership is for anyone ages 45 to 55. Annual dues are $18 for City residents and $27 for all others.

The newsletter will be mailed to you as a benefit of membership at no extra cost!

Use of Colognes

For the benefit of those who are sensitive or allergic to colognes, perfumes, after shave lotion, etc. please limit use when on trips, in classes & public areas!

Just for FUn Dance Class

Wednesday, February 8 – March 28 at PASC
Practice begins 6:30 pm. Class 7-8 pm
Steve Johnson, Instructor

East Coast Swing, Country Two Step, possible introduction to other dances. Frame, form, posture, etiquette. $30 for 8 weeks or $5 each class. Contact PASC at 360-457-7004.

Enjoy a catered lunch provided by Prairie Springs, with a presentation on the different programs they offer: Independent to Assisted Living, Respite Care, and Transitional Care. Find out how Prairie Springs can be a resource for you when you have questions about funding assisted living and what benefits may be available. Did you know that you can receive rehabilitative services during a transitional care stay when you need an alternative to a skilled nurse facility? Space is limited. PA Senior Center Volunteers make our world go ‘round! Without Volunteers, there is no way we could accomplish all the wonderful things we do here. As programs change or needs expand, we need volunteers to help. Here are some of the area in need of volunteers. If you are interested, please call 457-7004 or stop by to see D.

Tuesday Bingo Caller:

·     5 hour time commitment

·     Call Bingo games, work with other Bingo volunteers

·     Complete training available

·     More than one Volunteer may apply for this opportunity

Trip Planner/Coordinator:

·     Plans and programs monthly trips

·     Work with PASC trip drivers

·     Attention to detail is needed

·     Some basic math skills required

·     Am comfortable using telephone

·     Complete training available

PASC Promo Group needs members:

Have a GREAT Center, Will SHARE! The purpose of the PASC Promo Group is to share our wonderful PASC experience with the general Community. We’ll take our show on the road from Farmer’s Market to Safeway, Swain’s and beyond!

·     Would like 6-8 volunteers

·     Enjoy visiting with people

·     Be willing to share your PASC experience

Coffee LoungE

The sandwiches are made, the soup is hot! We appreciate the patronage and support of each person who enjoys our coffee lounge. The Center and volunteer staff work hard to provide the highest quality coffee, food products, and service.

The coffee lounge is open Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and offers refreshments, snacks, and lunches at nominal costs. The lounge also offers an opportunity for good social contact and conversation.

Check your membership! It may be time to renew. While you’re at it, encourage your friends to become members!

How do you check membership? Look on your yellow membership card. The month punched with a hole is the month of renewal. The year punched with a hole is the year of expiration. Can’t find your card? Call or come on in - we can help.

The Port Angeles Senior Times is a monthly publication of the Port Angeles Senior Center and is printed by the City of Port Angeles. The Times newsletter is available to Senior Center members and delivered to them each month at no additional cost.

42 years: Service to Seniors

The Port Angeles Senior Community Center was completed in 1995 and is cooperatively run by the City of Port Angeles and the Senior Center Board of Directors. This beautiful multi-purpose facility offers a complete commercial kitchen, multi-purpose room, dining room, separate coffee lounge, computer room, meeting rooms, a crafts and activities room, game room, and poolroom. All programs and services are self-supporting and the costs vary accordingly.
